Configure your device

Below we describe how to configure your CANmod - for details see the CANmod Docs.

1. Use a mini USB adapter to connect the CANmod to your PC
2. Verify that the green LED lights up
3. Locate the device (it will show up like an SD card)
4. Open the CANmod config editor
5. Load the JSON files from the DEVICE volume in the editor
6. Make your changes and download the Configuration File
7. Add the updated Configuration File to your CONFIG volume
8. Right-click the CONFIG volume and safely eject it

The new Configuration File is loaded by your device the next time it is powered on.

Note

The DEVICE volume always contains the default files. Updating your configuration does not result in changes to the Configuration File on the DEVICE volume

Note

If your device FW is e.g. 01.04.01, your Configuration File must be named config-01.04.json

If your config is invalid, the device will not output data
