Connect

This page documents the connect configuration.

The connect configuration defines the parameters needed for the CANedge2 GNSS to gain network access.

Warning

Make sure that the network allows communication on the network port(s) used by the CANedge2 GNSS (e.g. 9000 for S3, 80 for web server, and 123 for NTP).

The connect configuration is split into the following sections.


WiFi

Configuration of how the CANedge2 GNSS gains network access through WiFi. For more information on the device WiFi support, see Connectivity.


Protocol

Configuration of the protocol used to communicate with the device over the network.


Protocol - S3

Configuration of how the CANedge should communicate with a S3 server.

The device-to-server throughput1 is highly dependent on the device-to-server latency23. If multiple servers are available (such as regional cloud server endpoints), make sure to select a server with low device-to-server latency.


Protocol - Web server

Configuration of how the CANedge should act as a webserver.
